I was reluctant to purchase at first because it was not sterling silver and I was afraid maybe it would lose its shine and luster. But so far there has been no discoloration or anything. I would love to have one that says "Navy MOM" or "Navy Nana" since I have a granddaughter who is a Navy corpsman.
